Rates

Each copywriting job is unique and the rate will vary depending on the complexity of the job, the time it will take to complete the project, how comprehensive the specification provided by the customer is and finally how urgent the job is.

The rates on this page are given as guidelines only and may vary subject to full and final specifications being agreed with the client.

Included in the price:

  • The initial background and research required for the job ( for more complex research a price will be agreed following initial discussion and specification from the customer)
  • The first draft
  • Two revisions/edits

From the outset of the work, deadlines will be agreed with you before work begins. Revisions/amendments to the first draft will be done as quickly as possible and any further changes requiring a deadline will be agreed after each revision.

RATES FOR COPYWRITING SERVICES

Blog Posts/articles

SEO optimised if requested. Keywords must be provided by the client.

£50 for 500 words
£90 for 1000 words
£150 for 2000 words

Blog post packages available for 3 blog posts:

3 500 word posts for £135

3 1000 word posts for £250

Bespoke quotes provided for posts with longer word counts
Printed communications
Newsletters, Sales & Marketing

500 words £85 (simple from idea supplied)

1000 words £145 (where the copy required is more detailed)

1000-2000 words starting from £165 (subject to the complexity and research required)

Quotes for longer copy will be considered a bespoke project and will need to be quoted separately		Press releases

From £75 per release

Wording for the accompanying email starting from £20

Pricing includes two revisions.
Website copy

£135 per page of website content

Copy for a basic website comprising of up to 4 pages starting from £475		Website rewrites

£100 per page of web content and editing

£275 editing for a 3-4 page site (simple)

Technical websites and websites requiring copy/design without a brief will be priced on demand.
My day rate is £225 and for a half day £112.50

All prices exclude VAT

Deposit

New clients are asked to pay 25% of the total value of the work prior to the commencement of the project.

I also ask for a 50% deposit on all jobs with a value of £500 and above.

For other work and returning customers payment is required 7 days from the date of invoice.

Payment

Deposits and final settlement can be made either by bank transfer or PayPal.

I don’t take on any work non gratis but I can offer some hints and tips about any existing copy and offer feedback on how this might be improved.
